Meta Ads consultant Australia: Facebook and Instagram, reported in AUD.
I run Facebook and Instagram ads for Australian businesses from Ahmedabad. The ad account is in AUD, and the clock on that account is the state where the phones are answered. The pixel and the Conversions API are working before I raise the budget. I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery.

TL;DR
I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. Budgets and the weekly note stay in AUD. The ad account clock is the state you sell in, not India Standard Time.
Sydney and Melbourne move to daylight saving. Brisbane and Perth do not. Adelaide is half an hour off the east coast. One national clock makes the daily budget reset at the wrong hour.
The parent page is Meta Ads. Search is on Google Ads Australia. Cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide.
Vicky Lalwani runs Meta Ads for Australian businesses from Ahmedabad, with afternoon overlap on Sydney and Melbourne time and Perth calls booked on AWST. Accounts are reported in AUD. The pixel and Conversions API come before a higher budget. Legal sign off stays with your advisers. Australia · Meta Ads · Google Ads Australia.
At a glance
State clocks, then the pixel, then the season.
Australia is not one advertising day. In winter, Sydney is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of me in Ahmedabad. In summer, Sydney and Melbourne move to daylight saving and sit 5 hours 30 minutes ahead, while Brisbane stays put and is then an hour behind Sydney. Perth is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of me all year. Adelaide runs half an hour off Sydney all year. My useful overlap is the Australian afternoon. I book Perth on AWST, not on a Sydney calendar invite.
I do not copy Meta's United States audience limits onto an Australian housing ad. Meta's developer documentation restricts age, gender, postcode and radius for housing, employment and financial products when the ads reach the United States, Canada or Europe. Australia is not in that list. A 15 mile American radius is the wrong tool for a Sydney listing. I still answer the category questions in Ads Manager for the country I selected. Social issue, electoral and political ads are separate: Australia is on Meta's authorisation list, and the person who completes authorisation has to be located in Australia. I am in Ahmedabad, so I do not run those ads.
The calendar is Australian too. EOFY demand sits in May and June because the tax year ends on 30 June. November brings Black Friday while the weather is warm, and Boxing Day is its own sale, not the tail of an American winter holiday. I write the offers in Australian English and I keep the weekly numbers in AUD. Search, when the query is the better start, is on Google Ads Australia.
- AUD on the ad account and in the weekly note
- State time zone, including Brisbane and Perth without daylight saving
- Pixel and Conversions API deduplicated before the budget moves
- OAIC and Spam Act checks, with legal sign off left to you
- EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day planned as three different weeks
- No issue or political ads run from India
Before Australian spend moves
These are the checks I finish before a higher daily budget is worth it.
| Check | What I set | Why it is Australian |
|---|---|---|
| Currency | AUD, and the weekly note stays in AUD | Changing currency later closes the current ad account and opens a new one. The closed account cannot be switched back. Meta's payment settings help. |
| Time zone | The state where the phones are answered | Sydney and Melbourne use daylight saving. Brisbane and Perth stay on standard time. Adelaide sits half an hour off the east coast. India time is the wrong reset for all of them. |
| Pixel and server | Browser pixel and the Conversions API, one event id | The same purchase should count once. Conversions API. Many iOS events are measured through Aggregated Event Measurement. |
| Sensitive details | Left out of the event | The OAIC pixel guidance says sensitive information should not go to a third party pixel without consent, and the notice should say the pixel is there. |
| Overseas data | Named in the privacy notice | The pixel sends personal information overseas. APP 8 is the rule I point to. Your advisers sign off. |
| Email and SMS | Consent, who you are, a working unsubscribe | A lead ad that triggers a message is still covered by the Spam Act. ACMA's guide. |
| Service area | Only the states you can actually reach | An Advantage+ sales campaign can spend nationally. I use it when the catalogue and the purchase event are clean, and I keep a manual location when the team cannot serve the whole country. |
| Calendar | June, then November, then Boxing Day | The financial year ends on 30 June, so EOFY offers belong in May and June. Black Friday is late spring. Boxing Day is a summer sale. Back to school is late January, not August. |

Questions people ask
What does a Meta Ads consultant in Australia do?
I lead Facebook and Instagram strategy for Australian businesses: the ad account currency and clock, the pixel, the Conversions API, creative tests and the budget. I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. You own the ad account.
Which time zone should the Meta ad account use?
The state where the sales team answers, not Ahmedabad. Sydney and Melbourne change with daylight saving. Brisbane and Perth do not, so a Sydney clock is an hour wrong for Brisbane all summer and hours wrong for Perth all year. Changing the time zone later closes the account. Meta explains that here.
How do you treat the Privacy Act and the pixel?
I follow the OAIC guidance on tracking pixels: tell people the pixel is there, keep sensitive information out, and name the overseas disclosure under APP 8. I am not your lawyer. Email and SMS after a lead still have to meet the Spam Act.
Do Australian housing or job ads use the US targeting limits?
Not as a copy and paste. Meta documents those audience limits for ads reaching the United States, Canada or Europe, including a 15 mile radius in the US. The developer note does not put Australia on that list. I still declare the category Ads Manager asks for. I do not borrow the American radius to look more precise.
How do you plan EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day?
As three separate weeks. EOFY offers run in May and June because the financial year ends on 30 June. Black Friday is a late spring retail week. Boxing Day is the summer clearance. Back to school is late January. I do not run a northern hemisphere Christmas plan.
Can you cover Perth and Sydney on the same day?
Yes, on purpose. Perth calls are booked on AWST. Sydney and Melbourne calls sit in the Australian afternoon, which is my morning in Ahmedabad. I do not send a Perth business a Sydney meeting slot.
Where does Google Ads fit?
On Google Ads Australia, when the buyer is searching. Meta is for people who are not typing the query yet. The shared setup is the pixel, the Conversions API and the same definition of a lead.
Is there a published rate?
No. There is no rate card on this site. I quote a scope after a free call, once I have seen the account. There is no minimum ad spend. Engagements start with three months, then run month to month. You own the account throughout.
