Meta Ads consultant for US businesses: state privacy, special categories, and USD.
US Meta work fails in two quiet places: an ad account clock set to the wrong coast, and a pixel that never had Limited Data Use turned on. I set both before I talk about creative. I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. Calls sit at the end of my day or go out as async notes.

TL;DR
I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. The weekly note stays in USD. The ad account time zone is Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific, chosen for the sales desk, not for Ahmedabad.
Limited Data Use is a flag you have to send. It is how you ask Meta to process that event as a service provider under its US state terms. I turn it on for the pixel and the Conversions API. I do not put diagnosis, treatment or insurance detail in the event.
The parent page is Meta Ads. The country page is the United States. Google, including Local Services Ads, is on Google Ads USA.
Vicky Lalwani runs Meta Ads for US businesses from Ahmedabad. East Coast mornings overlap the end of his working day. West Coast mornings are late evening in India, so those clients get a fixed slot or an async note. Reporting stays in USD. Limited Data Use is turned on. He does not provide legal sign off. United States · Meta Ads · Google Ads USA.
At a glance
Pick the coast. Then the flag. Then lock November.
The East Coast and the West Coast are not one call window. On Eastern Daylight Time, 7:30pm in Ahmedabad is 10:00am in New York. On Eastern Standard Time, that same 7:30pm is 9:00am. Pacific morning is my late evening: 8:30am Pacific Daylight Time is 9:00pm in Ahmedabad. I keep an early evening slot for the East Coast. West Coast clients get a late slot a few days a week, or a recorded note the same day, so a decision does not wait on a meeting in the middle of my night. The ad account time zone follows the sales desk. Scheduled hours follow that clock too: an Eastern 9 to 5 is 6am to 2pm in California, so a West Coast afternoon would never see the ad. Changing the zone later closes the account and opens a new one, which Meta's help page states plainly.
There is no single federal privacy switch that covers every state. California's law is the CCPA, and other states have their own. Meta's Limited Data Use flag is how you tell Meta to treat the event under its state specific terms. It applies only when you send it. I send it on the pixel and on the Conversions API. I do not put a diagnosis, a treatment or an insurance detail in that event. The booking can be the conversion. The clinical note cannot. Your counsel decides what the statutes require. I decide what the event is allowed to contain.
Thanksgiving week is the planning constraint, not a surprise. Creative, the catalog and the purchase event need to be finished before the week of Thanksgiving, because rebuilding the campaign on the Wednesday throws away delivery learning on the days that carry the quarter. Cyber Monday is the Monday after, not a separate strategy invented that morning. Back to school is July and August. I do not use an Australian June plan or a UK January sale plan. For a catalog with a clean purchase event I use an Advantage+ sales campaign. For housing, a job or a financial product I start from the category limits, including the rule that financial products and services ads aimed at the United States have had to declare that category since 14 January 2025. I do not run social issue, electoral or political ads from India: authorisation requires the advertiser to be located in the United States. When the buyer is searching, including Local Services Ads for law firms and home services, the page is Google Ads USA.
- USD and the time zone of the sales desk
- Limited Data Use on the pixel and the Conversions API
- No clinical detail in the event
- Special ad category for housing, jobs and financial products aimed at the US
- Thanksgiving week locked before the Wednesday rebuild temptation
- East Coast slot, West Coast async
A normal US campaign, or housing, a job, or a financial product
Since 14 January 2025, financial products and services ads shown to people in the United States have to use the special category. Housing and employment were already limited. The category removes targeting. It does not add reach.
| A normal sales or leads campaign | Housing, employment, or financial products | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | A store, a local service, a firm that is not offering credit | Property, jobs, loans, cards, insurance and similar offers aimed at the US |
| Age and gender | Available as targeting | Generally fixed at 18 through 65+, and no single gender. Meta's documentation. |
| Place | A city or a radius you can actually serve | No ZIP codes, no location exclusion, and a radius of at least 15 miles or 25 kilometers. |
| Lookalikes | Available when the source list is real | Not available for these categories. |
| What still matters | Pixel, Conversions API, creative tests, USD reporting | The same measurement. The ad and the page have to qualify the person, because the audience tools will not. |
| Privacy flag | Limited Data Use on the pixel and the server event | The same flag. The category does not replace it. Data processing options. |

Questions people ask
What does a Meta Ads consultant in the US do?
I lead Facebook and Instagram strategy for US businesses: the account clock, USD reporting, the pixel, the Conversions API, Limited Data Use, creative and the budget. I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. You own the ad account.
How do you cover Eastern and Pacific hours from India?
East Coast morning overlaps the end of my day. On daylight time, 10:00am in New York is 7:30pm in Ahmedabad. Pacific morning is later for me, so West Coast clients get a late evening slot or a recorded update the same day. I do not book a standing noon call that is midnight for you or sunrise for me.
What is Limited Data Use, and when do you turn it on?
It is Meta's flag for US state privacy laws. When the flag is on, Meta says it will process that data as a service provider under its state specific terms. The developer documentation says you have to enable it. I enable it before spend. California's statute is the CCPA. Other states have their own. I am not your lawyer.
What changes for housing, jobs and financial products?
You must declare the category. For financial products and services aimed at the United States, that has been required since 14 January 2025. Age stays broadly 18 through 65+, gender cannot be narrowed, ZIP codes and lookalikes are unavailable, locations cannot be excluded, and the radius is at least 15 miles or 25 kilometers. The ad has to do the qualifying.
How do you prepare for Thanksgiving week?
Creative, catalog and the purchase event are approved before that week. I do not rebuild the campaign on the Wednesday. Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving, so the same setup has to survive the weekend. Back to school is a summer job, in July and August, not a January job.
Do you send health information with the pixel?
No. The event can say a booking happened. It does not say the diagnosis, the treatment or the insurance detail. If your counsel wants a narrower event than that, we narrow it further.
Do you also run Google Ads for the same US business?
Yes, when search or Local Services Ads should carry the lead. That scope is Google Ads USA. Law firms and home services often need both. The Meta event and the Google conversion should describe the same lead.
Is there a published rate?
No. There is no rate card on this site. The scope is quoted after a free call. There is no minimum ad spend. You own the ad account, including if we stop.
