Meta Ads consultant UK: Facebook and Instagram, with consent before the pixel.
A UK Meta account is not an Australian account with the currency symbol swapped. I report in GBP, I keep the ad account on London time through GMT and BST, and the pixel does not fire until the person has said yes. I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. I do not pretend to have a London office.

TL;DR
I lead the strategy and I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. The ad account currency is GBP and the time zone is London, so the budget day moves when the UK moves to BST.
The ICO says storage and access for online advertising, including campaign measurement, needs consent. The pixel waits for that yes. UK GDPR still covers the personal data in the event.
The parent page is Meta Ads. The country page is the UK. Google search is on Google Ads UK.
Vicky Lalwani runs Meta Ads for UK businesses from Ahmedabad. UK mornings overlap his afternoon. The ad account stays in GBP on London time, and the pixel does not fire before consent. He does not give legal sign off. United Kingdom · Meta Ads · Google Ads UK.
At a glance
London time, consent, then the two winter peaks.
Your morning is when I can talk. In winter the UK is 5 hours 30 minutes behind Ahmedabad, so 9am in London is 2:30pm for me. In summer, British Summer Time cuts that gap to 4 hours 30 minutes, and the same 9am call moves an hour earlier on my clock. I keep the ad account on London time so Meta moves the budget day with you. An account left on India Standard Time never notices BST, and the daily budget resets in the middle of the UK afternoon.
Consent is a setup step, not a footer. The ICO's current guidance says storage and access technologies used for online advertising need consent, and that measuring the campaign sits inside that same consent. I gate the pixel on the banner you already use. I do not treat a privacy policy link as a yes. Deduplication still matters after that: the browser event and the Conversions API have to describe one sale. Aggregated Event Measurement covers a lot of iOS traffic, so I read Ads Manager next to the orders, not instead of them.
The retail calendar is short and repeated. Black Friday is one intense week, then Boxing Day and the January sales are a second peak. I do not stretch November into a whole quarter, and I do not import an Australian June EOFY plan. Back to school is late August and early September. The UK tax year ends on 5 April, which is when some financial product ads want to run, and those ads take the Europe audience limits: no postcode targeting, no location exclusion, no lookalike audience, and a radius of at least 15 kilometres. Credit ads in Europe may use a different age range where the industry requires it. Ordinary shops do not need the political authorisation path. A brand that also advertises in the EU cannot run social issue, electoral or political ads there at all. Search for people who are already looking is on Google Ads UK.
- Consent before the pixel, per the ICO advertising guidance
- GBP and a London time zone, including BST
- Conversions API deduplicated against the browser event
- 15 kilometre minimum where the Europe special category applies
- Black Friday and Boxing Day treated as two peaks
- No EU political ads, and no UK issue ads run from India
Consent, then the event, then the budget
The order is the work. A pixel that fires before the choice is the usual reason a UK account cannot be trusted.
| Order | What has to be true | Where I take it from |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The banner | The Meta pixel does not run before a yes | The ICO says advertising measurement needs consent. It is not a strictly necessary cookie. |
| 2. The personal data | UK GDPR applies to the lead or the purchase inside the event | ICO UK GDPR guidance. I implement the tag. Your advisers own the legal position. |
| 3. One count | Browser and server share an event id | Conversions API. iOS gaps are described in Aggregated Event Measurement. I still check the shop's orders. |
| 4. The clock | Europe/London, including the BST change | India does not change clocks. The UK does. Changing the time zone later closes the ad account. |
| 5. The money | GBP in Ads Manager and in the weekly note | Same help page. I do not convert the figure into another currency in the report. |
| 6. Restricted offers | Housing, employment and financial products use the special category | For ads reaching Europe, Meta fixes age at 18 through 65+ in most cases, blocks a single gender, and requires a radius of at least 15 kilometres. Developer documentation. |
| 7. Issue ads | Authorisation and a Paid for by label, and only if you are located in the UK | The UK still allows these ads. Meta stopped them in the EU from early October 2025. I cannot complete UK authorisation from India. |

Questions people ask
What does a Meta Ads consultant in the UK do?
I lead Facebook and Instagram strategy for UK businesses: consent, the pixel, the Conversions API, creative, and a budget in GBP. I am your contact. A small team handles delivery. You own the ad account. I work remotely. There is no London office.
When does the pixel fire?
After consent. The ICO says online advertising, including measurement of the ads, needs consent, and that advertising is not strictly necessary to deliver the page. UK GDPR still applies to the personal data. I do not sign that off for you.
Why must the ad account stay on London time?
Because the UK changes clocks and India does not. London time lets the daily budget follow GMT and BST. If the account was opened on India time, the budget day ends while the UK afternoon is still spending. Changing it later creates a new ad account and closes the old one.
How are housing, job and financial ads different here?
Meta limits the audience for those ads when they reach Europe. Age is generally 18 through 65+, you cannot pick a single gender, you cannot exclude a location, postcode targeting is not available, lookalike audiences are not available, and the radius is at least 15 kilometres. Credit ads in Europe can use a different age range where local rules require it. That is Meta's documentation, not a preference of mine.
Can you run political or social issue ads in the UK?
Not as the person located in India. Meta's authorisation is for advertisers who reside and are located in the country at the time the ads run, and the ad needs a Paid for by label. The UK still allows these ads. Meta no longer allows them in the EU, so a UK brand that also targets the EU cannot run them there.
How do Black Friday and Boxing Day differ from a US plan?
Black Friday is one short week, then the shops do it again at Boxing Day and through the January sales. I prepare creative before each week. I do not treat Thanksgiving as the start, because the UK does not have that Thursday, and I do not use the Australian EOFY calendar.
Do you manage this next to Google Ads?
Yes, when search should carry the queries you need to read. That work is on Google Ads UK, with consent mode on the Google side and the same definition of a lead.
Is there a published rate?
No. There is no rate card on this site. The scope is quoted after a free call. There is no minimum ad spend. You own the ad account, including if we stop.
